Tulips Filigree

My Tulips Filigree Table Runner Sampler

Quilted Runner
13½ inches x 47 inches

These coral fabrics, background fabric, and backing fabric all together knocked me over. I must have purchased them at Quilt Festival sometime ago because they were all in the same bag together when I discovered them in my studio a month ago.

I decided to use them for the above project. I am so glad I did. These coral colors will be perfect in our bedroom when I finish the new curtains. I plan to keep it on the blanket chest at the foot of our bed.

Four Coral Blocks

Batting and Quilting sewn in the hoop. I used variegated quilting thread in corals.

I used variegated fabric for the background and Coral fat-quarters in smudgy hues

I used variegated green thread for the filigree and the leaves. It gave a chevron look€¯ to the leaves.

Each block has a stitched outline which defines the block and to aide you in sewing them together.
