Hmong Machine Embroidery Projects

This is a pantsuit I purchased from Dress Barn.
Sheila at SNiP and PiNS embroidered it with her pink and black metallic threads

Bags

Tablecover

A personal fabric of mine, Kona Cotton fabrics are my go-to choice for many of my embroidery and sewing projects for their wide variety of vibrant colors and their long-fiber durability. If the fabric on which you stitch your machine embroidery is as important your choice of threads, consider Kona Cotton as your first fabric choice.

Topstitch needles are a machine embroiderer’s friend, as they’re important for getting straight lines. Universal and ball point needles sew between the weave/knit of a fabric, making them good choices for fabrics that stretch or shred. However, their stitches are not as straight as those made by a good, sharp top stitch needle, which can sew through the fabric strands, making the topstitch needle the prefer choice for long-fiber natural fabrics and no-stretch synthetics. So, keep a pack or two of topstitch needles on hand for your next embroidery project inspiration.

Napkins

Sometimes a project needs to sparkle and pop. That’s when you pull out the big guns and thread your machine with some metallic threads.

Do you wear your embroidery? Take it out for a spin? YES!!! For color-fastness and durability polyester threads are a must. Make those envious tongues wag with envy for years.

Tops

If the perfect garment or piece of fabric begging for embellishment a knit or stretch fabric? Make sure you’ve got some ball point needles on hand. I prefer size 12/80 for 40 wt. threads.

Denim is perennially fashionable. Why not give it a bit of personal style with a custom embroidery?

If you’re going to jazz up your denim shirt, then you’ll need a jacket to complement it, for when the weather turns. Just remember to do your denim your way. Embroider it!

Don’t forget to complete your denim ensemble. Now where are my boots?
